Overview

"The only jazz singer with a voice big enough to rival Sarah Vaughan's" (New York Times) comes to Cal Performances for one night only! As a result of her virtuosity, improvisational prowess, and unique jazz and R&B stylings, Dianne Reeves won three consecutive Grammys for Best Jazz Vocal Performance—a first in any vocal category. She also famously appeared and performed in George Clooney's Academy Award-nominated film Good Night, and Good Luck (the soundtrack winning Reeves yet another Grammy in 2006). With her amazing three-octave range and virtuosic phrasings, this jazz diva consistently delivers unforgettable performances.
